SHARE MOBILE INTERNET OVER WIFI

Insert a compatible SIM card with an active mobile data package, complete the required network settings and connect your devices to the router’s WiFi network. The router converts the cellular data connection into a local wireless network that can be used by supported phones, tablets, laptops and other WiFi equipment.

This is useful when several devices need internet access but only one mobile data SIM is available. The actual number of devices that can connect comfortably depends on the router configuration, signal quality and the type of activity performed by each user.

PORTABLE INTERNET FOR HOME, OFFICE AND TRAVEL

The compact design makes this router convenient for temporary workspaces, study sessions, travel accommodation, small shops and locations where a conventional fixed internet service is unavailable or awaiting installation.

It can also serve as a basic backup connection during a fixed-line interruption, provided the selected mobile operator has adequate coverage at your location. Mobile data charges are determined by the SIM provider and are not included with the router.

4G, 3G AND 2G NETWORK SUPPORT

The router supports cellular connectivity according to the SIM, supported network bands, operator service and local signal coverage. A 4G connection generally offers the best experience where a compatible network is available, while lower network modes may be used in other situations.

Important: The presence of 4G coverage does not guarantee that every SIM or network band is compatible. Confirm the router’s supported bands and your operator’s requirements before purchase, especially if you plan to use the device outside Mauritius.

UP TO 150 MBPS WIFI DATA RATE

The router supports 802.11b/g/n wireless standards with a WiFi data rate of up to 150 Mbps under compatible local network conditions. This figure describes the potential WiFi link rate and should not be confused with guaranteed mobile internet speed.

Actual download and upload speeds depend on the mobile operator, active data package, network congestion, signal strength, distance from the router, obstacles and the connected device.

WPA/WPA2 WIRELESS SECURITY

WPA and WPA2 security help protect the wireless network from unauthorised access. Change the default WiFi password and router administrator password during setup, choose a strong unique password and avoid sharing access with unknown users.

Review the connected-device list periodically and keep the router in a secure location. The SIM card and mobile data account should also be protected according to the operator’s recommendations.

• Internet access for students and study sessions
• Temporary home or apartment connectivity
• Small office and mobile-work use
• Travel accommodation

BEFORE YOU BUY

• Confirm that your SIM and network bands are compatible

• Confirm the required SIM card size and configuration
• Remember that network speed is controlled by coverage and the operator
• Ask your provider for APN settings if automatic setup does not work
